There is something so exciting when I witness seeds meeting soil and people coming together to learn how to grow their own food. Justin and Jessica Bullock opened their doors today for their first Red Moon Farm workshop: Starting Plants From Seeds. After learning how to make a healthy potting soil for starting plants from seeds, attendees filled their pots, selected from a variety of 9 vegetable seeds, and got to work planting seeds for their own home gardens. Throughout the workshop the Bullocks shared information on careful seed selection, tending to young seedlings, acclimating them to an outdoor environment, and answering lots of questions. The perfect ending to a perfect workshop was a walking tour around the farm.
